Melnikas Jaroslavas, prose writer, literary critic.
Was born in Smyga, Dubnas district, Rovnas (West Ukraine), on February 6, 1959.
He graduated from Lvov University, Ukraine (Faculty of Philology). He had attended a post-graduate course at M. Gorki Institute of Literature in Moscow. He had written a few books (prose, critique, philosophy), which were published in Lithuania and in European countries.
J. Melnikas is the member of Ukraine writers union. He is living in Vilnius now.
Since 1989 – the member of LWU.
