Vaitkevičius Vladas, poet.
Was born in Tartokas, Ignalina district, on November 7, 1946.
He was a pupil in Žeimiai primary school, Kazitiškis seven-year school, Dūkštas secondary school and Kaunas boarding school. In 1964-1969 was studied Lithuanian literature and journalism in Vilnius University. Vladas Vaitkevičius was working in Vilnius Jaunimo (Youth) theatre, “Mintis” (“Thought”) and “Mokslas” (“Science”) publishing offices, “Savininkas” (“Owner”) and “Drobiečių žodis” (Word of linens”) journals, “Aušra” (“Daylight”) press. Now Vladas is working as a make-up editor in the Enterprise “Naujasis amžius” (“New century”). He is married, sons name is Adomas, his wife Birutė – photographer.
Since 1995 – the member of LWU.
