Nijolė Simona Pukinskaitė

Pukinskaitė Nijolė Simona, poetess, translator.
Was born in Rudaičiai, Kretinga district, on December 31, 1958.
In 1983 she graduated from Lithuanian Conservatoire, the Faculty of Klaipėda, worked at Rumšiškės Culture House. Since 1986 she has been living in Vilnius.
Since 2001 – the member of LWU.

Autobiography:
In 1977 I finished Secondary School of Kretinga, in 1978 – enrolled into the Lithuanian SSR State Conservatoire and graduated it in 1983 as a director. In 1983 I was appointed to work at Rumšiškės Culture House in Kaišiadorys district (from 1983 to 1985). From 1989 to 1993 I worked at a graphics and design enterprise Ojaras.
My first articles appeared in the republic press in 1995.  In 1999-2000 I actively cooperated with a magazine Metai. In 1999 I won an international poesy contest Watermark Press (USA). In 2000 I joined in the International Poets Organization (USA). From 2000 I participate at the educational programme of ISP – I am striving to obtain a certificate of "International Library of Poetry".
