Juknaitė Vanda, prose writer, playwright, essayist.
Was born in Papiliai, Rokiškis district, on November 28, 1949.
In 1972 she finished studies of the Lithuanian language and literature at Vilnius University. After that, she worked as a teacher and gave lectures at Klaipėda Conservatoire. Since 1975 she has been giving lectures at Vilnius Pedagogical Institute (University) as a docent.
Since 1990 – the member of LWU.
