Klusas Rimantas Petras, poet.
Born on November 28, 1936 in Puodžiai (Raseiniai district).
Studied at Šiauliai Pedagogical and Vilnius Pedagogical Institute. After that, he worked at Heart and Veins Research Institute in Kaunas, since 1993 he has been working in an editorial-office of Ūkininko patarėjas. He lives in Kaunas
Since 1989 – the member of LWU.
I finished Gardening Technicum in Kaunas, studied the Lithuanian language and literature at Šiauliai and Vilnius Pedagogicala Institutes. (I could not finish my studies because of injury, so I have a status of the unfinished University education.)
I worked as a head engineer at Cardiology Institute, since 1993 – as a reporter at Ūkininko patarėjas and an editor of an appendix Mūsų sodyba. I am a pensioner since 1997.
In 2000 I have published a book of selected works Pepper-flower (Pipirgėlė), where the newest works make up one third of the book. In 2002 a collection of verses and poems Broken into Tears with One Eye (Pravirkęs viena akimi) was published, in 2006 – a collection of poems A Concert for Organ and Accordion (Koncertas vargonams ir armonikai).
In 1989 I was inducted into the Lithuanian Writers Union.
I actively participate in the literary life and writers activity. In my "account" there are about 500 literary evenings. I often join a search of new talents, evaluation of their works and education of art.
My creations are being published in weeklies Nemunas, Literatūra ir menas, Šiaurės Atėnai and other publications.
