Bagdonavičius Kazys

Kazys Bagdonavičius – prose writer.
He was born 10 November, 1941 in Kaunas.
In 1966 he finished studies of the Lithuanian language and literature at Vilnius University. In 1958 he was working at various institutions and helped to build hydroelectric power station in Kaunas. From 1968 till 1982 he worked at the National radio and television committee as chief editor, he was also writing scripts for TV series. During 1982–1986 he was an adviser and editor of magazine “Komunistas”. From 1987 till 1989 he was chief editor of Lithuanian advertisment company. From 1989 till 2001 he worked in various editorial offices and institutions (“Mūza”, “Baltijos birža”, “Litas”, “Lietuvos kuras”, etc.). His satirical prose was published in different periodicals. He has translated humoristic literature of Georgian, Latvian and Russian writers.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1984.
