Vidmantas Kiaušas-Elmiškis – poet, prose writer.
He was born 23 May, 1952 in Burbiškis, Anykščiai district.
In 1971-1973 he studied at Kaunas Polytechnical Institute, Faculty of Electronics. In 1974-1980 he studied at Vilnius University, Kaunas Faculty of Humanities. From 1974 till 1977 he worked at K. Požėla publishing house. During the years of 1977-1989 he was an organizer of literature events at Kaunas Department of Lithuanian Writers’ Union. In 1990-1991 he was a chairman of club “Ūpas”. From 1991 till 1996 he was an administrator at “Nemunas” magazine. He worked as a reporter for “Ūkininko patarėjas” in 1995-2001. From 2001 till 2003 he worked as an advisor at LATGA-A, Kaunas Department. In 2004-2009 he worked as an editor at “Nemunas” weekly and from 2009 till 2011 he was a freelance reporter.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1999.
