Algimantas Polis – prose writer.
He was born 13 July, 1931 in Klaipėda.
In 1957-1962 he studied journalism at Vilnius University. He worked at fishing boats, geological expedition and in various editorial offices of newspapers and magazines. From 1974 he worked at magazine “Statyba ir architektūra”. His short stories were translated into Bulgarian and Russian languages.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1971.
