Dalia Staponkutė – prose writer, translator.
She was born 14 August, 1964 in Šiauliai.
She finished 11th Secondary school in Šiauliai and in 1987 she finished her studies of philosophy at St. Petersburg University. She gave philosophy lectures at Šiauliai University and in 1989 she moved to Cyprus. For several years she worked as a translator in international companies and the Red Cross, gave lectures at European University Cyprus and University of Cyprus. She got her Doctoral degree, a participant of ACUME, a member of Lithuanian Association of Literary Translators (since 2005). She translates from Greek and English languages.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 2015.
