Aloyzas Každailis – prose writer.
He was born 27 June 1943 in Grinkiškis, Radviliškis district.
In 1960 he finished Baisogala Secondary school and in 1965 he finished his studies of history at Vilnius University. From 1965 till 1968 he worked at Local History Museum in Klaipėda. In 1968-1970 he gave lectures on history in Klaipėda Polytechnikum. From 1970 till 1975 he worked as a director of Sea department at Local History Museum in Klaipėda. In 1970 he was involved in creating a Lithuanian Sea Museum and was in charge of it from 1975 till 2002.
A member of Lithuanian Writers’ Union since 1997.

1994 Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas (4th degree).
2002 Honorary citizen of Klaipėda.
2007 Master of Culture of Klaipėda city.
